The German Economic Institute (IW) is an active member of an international network for the analysis of labor market and personnel policy issues.

The other institutions in the network are: Entreprise Personnel (France), the Institute for Employment Studies (United Kingdom), the University of Milan Bicocca (Italy) and the University of Geneva (Switzerland). The aim of the cooperation is to introduce the members’ own perspectives to an international audience, to learn about developments and views in the other countries and to facilitate comparisons.
