The Economic Policy Forum (EPF) is an international network of think tanks concerned with economic policy issues.

Originally a German initiative, the EPF’s main regional emphasis is on emerging markets and the network thus includes many think tanks and institutes from such countries as Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The German Economic Institute joins with other institutions in the Forum to work on internationally important topics and obtain information about institutional conditions in the emerging economies. Under the aegis of the EPF the IW has tackled such issues as energy and raw materials from an international perspective and is currently coordinating a project on the role of the private sector in vocational training.
