IW Gesellschaftsforschung gGmbH

The IW Gesellschaftsforschung gGmbH is a non-profit subsidiary of the IW, whose purpose is the promotion of science.

The focus is on researching the socio-political conditions for economic success. The aim is to identify the implications of transformation for the economy, politics, and society, as well as options for fostering a conciliatory approach among different actors.

Additionally, the purpose of the statutes includes developing educational offerings for society based on the research findings. By raising awareness about misconceptions regarding economic developments, the aim is to strengthen democratic resilience. This also involves pointing out widespread misinformation to counteract societal polarization and radicalization.
