The case of Germany
Migrant workers accounted for 6.8% of all employees liable to social security contributions in 2006. Initiatives sponsored by federal agencies or the federal government therefore aim to strengthen the labour market participation of migrants. The promotion of migrant workers at the workplace is additionally supported in regional projects and at the establishment level.
