Logib D (Pay Equality in Companies - Germany) and equal pacE (Equal Gender Pay Analysis for a Competitive Europe) are computer programmes with which companies can analyse their pay structures for gender-specific differences. Use of the software is both voluntary and anonymous.

Launched at the end of 2009, the Logib D project is sponsored by Germany’s Federal Ministry for the Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth - with the support of the German Economic Institute (IW), whose subsidiary IW Consult is responsible for its implementation. The idea of the project is to provide software with which enterprises can analyse their remuneration and staff structures, identify any differences in men and women’s pay and investigate their causes. The software can be accessed free of charge and without registering at www.logib-d.de. At the end of the analysis the tool provides a detailed report of the results in PDF format.

With Logib D having proved itself in practice, the software application is now being made available in other countries of the European Union with the support of the European Commission. The European version of the tool, also provided by the IW, is called equal pacE. Launched in the United Kingdom in the spring of 2015, it will also be offered to companies in Poland, Finland, Portugal and France in the course of the year.
